This series of classes aims to address an important and frequently neglected aspect of a singer's training -- the audition. The first class (10/11 & 12) will be taught by program director Susan Ormont (Voice Teacher--NYC, Boston, Boston University, American Repertory Theatre; past President NY NATS 1997-2000), with subsequent classes to be conducted by renowned professionals in the field of opera. This workshop will focus on evaluating and improving the audition technique of participating singers, as well as provide a forum for general discussion on the topic of the opera audition. All classes will be recorded on video and tapes will be made available for purchase at the end of the program.
